About SRSFF
The Romanian Science-Fiction and Fantasy Association (SRSFF) was founded in January 2009 by a group of writers, translators and fans who wished to promote quality Romanian SF literature and art.
SRSFF is a non-profit NGO that stands against the continuous influx of artificiality and false values that pervert common-sense and the overall understanding of culture.
Since its founders wanted to make a legal setting for representing, organizing, sustaining and promoting SF and fantasy culture, SRSFF was created as a juridical entity, meant to induce professionalism and quality in art. At the same time, SRSFF is set out to become a key moderator in today’s Romanian science-fiction and to set a standard for objectivity. The only criterion we stand for in the development of Romanian SF is quality.
SRSFF is opened for collaboration with similar associations or with other cultural organizations, as well as with various people, as long as it helps achieve the goals set by the regulations. The regulations will be sent off, on request, by e-mail.
Membership can be obtained through a mutual agreement between SRSFF and similar organizations, or, in the case of natural persons, based on the reputation acquired in the Romanian fandom or by sending a resume with data concerning the candidate’s activity in the field of SF. The resume must include information about the candidate’s published texts and links to where these materials can be found.
